This book tells my story, a survivor’s account of a near-death experience, a story of resilience and the sheer coincidence that saved me. It’s a testament to the kindness of strangers who pulled me from the flames, the unwavering strength of family who held me together when I was lost, and the dedication of medical professionals who gave me a second chance, and, above all, the mercy of God that miraculously kept me alive. It also exposes the cracks in our system, the failures that occasioned this tragedy, and the avoidable pain inflicted on so many.
