About the book
The Underpinnings of the Holy Band of Cherubim & Seraphim (Historical and Empirical) is a book of more than 1,000 pages by Elder Israel Akinadewo, presented to commemorate the centenary of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) movement, which was founded in 1925.
According to The Guardian (Nigeria), the book affirms Saint Moses Orimolade as the sole founder of the movement and documents 100 C&S denominations and assemblies, with their characteristics and governance structures. It offers empirical insights into how the movement influenced the growth of Christianity in Nigeria and beyond, and explores the spiritual, biblical, philosophical and cultural foundations of C&S churches and the role of women in them.
ThisDay reported that Akinadewo presented a draft copy to the Prelate of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim (ESOCS), Baba Aladura David Bob-Manuel, and that the book would be presented with the ESOCS-led Centenary Committee.
